So, I'm updating... I don't know where to go with this playing thing, somedays I want to go to a great conservatory, and others...I'd rather just play. Matt now likes the Elgar, and guess what? SO DO I!!! haha, I went out and bought the music the other day, and I've been playing it every since. Matt, our next concerto will be...drumroll please...Some really cool concerto in the fabulous key of e minor!!!

So, I got the Ernst concerto, and It's SO MUCH FUN!!! It's a great piece, I love the difficulty in it (who says that?!) I love all of it. It's fantastic, and then I have my friend Bob Raymond's recording to listen to, it's all good for now... until I get to some of those harder passages up.

Yeah, It's me, I haven't posted anything in a long time. It's only because I can't see this at my house... For some reason, the resolution for this page is so small,That I can't read it,if anybody knows how to fix this please email me and tell me. I didn't audition for Region this year, which means I can't do City or State, I was more obssesed with doing the theatre stuff instead.

It's been a long time, a really long time indeed. I don't have much to talk about though. I quit the school orchestra though. I couldn't put up with a teacher who is overly pompous! I still have the denton chamber orchestra though.

I played around with Ernst's Last Rose of Summer... Hmm It seems managable in some areas in others it seems like all hell will break loose... I'm Also practicing Wieniawski, not as much as i should be though.Matt, Page and myself all hope to go to the Manhattan school of music... this is a big if we're all under prepared right now, but if we work our tails off... maybe.

BAMPH... I can't make myself practice scales and etudes!!! I CAN'T no matter how much I try... it's really sad.

I think I've come to a compromise with my Vieuxtemps concerto,I'll just play the fourth concerto instead, though no.2 would just as much fun.

I've been Constantly improving, mainly on my technique and sightreading skills... I have two years before I have to audition for music school and now I'm finally figuring out what to play I think... anywho... I think I'm going to take a week off from violin playing. I think it would do me well to get away for a while.

I don't remember if I told you that I dropped the Vieuxtemps no. 5 or not, but I did because for some reason I can't get my hands around it... It seems like it runs away from me just as I get the hang of one measure.... I can pick up any other concerto and have a good idea of how it works but with this one I just can't do it!!! It's really Frustrating, I'm still on the first page and utterly lost.... If somebody wants to help me get a better insight please Write me at HidingFromyou456@aol.com
On to better things my summer is going great. My brother has had his friends over here for 2 weeks, that's the only annoying part about it.

I'm planning the Chamber orchestra Repertoire for school next semester. In chamber we basically have 4 string quartets and two string quintets, and after all the smaller ensembles perform, we have the Huge piece for strings. So I'm picking out music that's fitted to each group...really hard work. So far I've picked the Mendelssohn Octet for strings... Brahms sextet in G, Mendelssohn quartet in E minor and one in A minor, and I haven't picked out a quintet piece yet so I don't know what I'm going to do about that... If you guys have any suggestions Please write to the Aforementioned Email address. That's all for now...

Thanks to Page, I now have Lalo's Violin concerto in F major... I've never heard it before, So I’m anxious to get my hands on a cd of it sometime. Today I did slow Two and Three octave scales, worked on different vibratos and tone production. After that, I slowly started working on the Wieniawski no.1, then I got sidetracked.... So after all this wasted time... I've only managed to play Bach (Which is good), that's all for now.
