Mosquitos have a nutty flavor. I find the large ones a bit chewy, though.

Nothing's half bad in chili, especially if it is extra hot :-)
I don't know about mosquitos in Chile though. Do they attack counter-clockwize?
HA ! You should try hiking in Maine in the spring ! They lift you up and carry you right off up there ! :-P
Oh...wait...you're from Alaska...I guess you know a mosquito hord when you see one....lol
The mosquito hordes are not that bad, except for when they change weather patterns.
Raining mosquitos are the worst!
My hiking buddy sneezed out a leftover today.
Has anyone else here saved dead ones in a jar just to see how many would fill it?
OMGosh..Emily, that's soo funny ! :-D

Some years, when picking raspberries on the outer islands, the skeeters are so big, you can see stripes on their tails. this was especially true in 1987, when the old-timers were saying that they "were the worst they'd seen since '46."
"Stripes on their tails? Why sonny, around these parts they're so big they've got numbers on their backs."
Around here, they drive bloodmobiles.
This reminds me of a line I used the other night, which was "You're too dumb to know it, but this is a hell hole. Let's get out of here." It didn't work, although theoretically it's very sound. Psychologically speaking, one would expect someone that dumb to be inclined to leave, to provide evidence that she was not that dumb. It needs refinement. Maybe some intensifying expletives would help it.
Ah, but today there were no mosquitos, and the climb was exhilerating, and the top was cool and minty. I watched the curtains of rain out over the plains and smiled.
