I'm absolutely in love with the violin !

I started lessons for the first time in 2002 at the age of 39 when I had a very nice old fiddle and bow dropped in my lap. This instrument and bow are certainly wasted on me....but I'm thoroughly enjoying them and doing my very best to measure up. (the bow is a Sartory...I'm soo spoiled !)
I don't ever expect to be able to do anything professionally......my goal is to play some seriously God honoring music for the folks at church...and anywhere else they'd have me. I truly hope to be able to play well by ear. I know that I can hear the many harmonies when I'm listening to music...and pick out which "sentence" in the music that I want to hum along to (I can't sing for beans).....I just need to get to a place in my playing where I can "Play" with my fingers what I'm hearing with my ears.
I had no idea I was a musician....really I didn't...until I picked up this violin...and I'm loving every minute of it!
God has been very very good to me.....can't figure out why, I just thank Him every day !
