I started playing the violin seriously again in spring 2006, after a decade-long hiatus. I'm a big fan of Joshua Bell and Hilary Hahn, both as violinists and as people. One of my lifetime resolutions is to be able to play the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, even if it takes me another twenty years of study.
