Josef Suk, Fairy Tale 2th violin score

This summer I played as 2th violin with an orchestra in the Czech Republik in a summer course the piece Fairy Tale (Pohodka) of the relative unknown Czech composer Josef Suk (1874-1935), who married the oldest daughter of Antonin Dvorak.

Sometimes the 2th violin score is hard to recognise in the orchestra compared with the solopart of violinconcerto's, but here you can see that I write with purple when it is arco, yellow for pizz, orange for sordine, green for sordine off, green for the sort bar, purple circles for how much crosses(#) or flats(b) and a lot fingernumbers, because than I take more notes during the concert. But I studied this piece good, so I played all notes, also all fast double notes, that makes your right arm work.

Knussen violinconcerto by Frederieke Saeijs

Yesterday I heard the modern violinconcerto (2002) of Oliver Knussen (born 1952) played by the Dutch violinist and Long-Thibaut competition winner Frederieke Saeijs. You have to like modern music, but I think nevertheless it is an interesting piece with 3 movements, which follows immediately after each other.
