Last 2 concerts this half year with Prokofiev 1th violinconcerto

Soon I will play my last 2 concerts this half year with Prokofiev 1th violinconcerto. The soloist is the Rusian Sergey Arseniev.

Biography
My name is Sergey Arseniev. In 1982 I was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia. At the age of six I have been admitted in the Special Music Lyceum attached to the Rimsky-Korsakov conservatory in Saint Petersburg.
My first concert abroad has been in the summer of 1996 in Mikkeli, Finland. I played there one of my favourite violinconcerto's, Lalo's "Spanish Symphony". In the same year I have been taking part in masterclasses given by Igor Ozim and Monica Ubaniac in Bern, Switzerland. I followed more masterclasses with Professor Ozim in 1997 in germany and Austria. In 1998 and 2000 I succesfully participated in international competitions in Israel en Bulgary, where I won second and first prizes.
My first stay in Holland has been in the summer of 2000, when Herman Krebbers gave masterclasses in Bergen. I performed there Wieniawsky's "Faust Fantasy". In 2001 I have been graduated in Saint Petersburg. After that I got the opportunity of continuing my studies in Holland in the North Netherlands Conservatory with Professor Emi Ohi Resnick. The last years I have been performing as a soloist with the NNC Chamber Orchestra. In 2002 I won the second prize in the Prinses Christina Concours and I have been nominated for the "Harten Aas Cultuur Prijs" from Holland Casino. I also participated in chamber music masterclasses given by the Rubin Quartet and the Menuhin Festival Quartet.
In 2004 I have played Tchaikovsky Concerto accompanied by Jelle Hogenhuis Flute Orchestra. We had two performances and one of them was live broadcasting from Spiegel Zaal in Amsterdam Concertgebouw in sunday morning programm of radio 4. I am making an inventory of the instruments in an orchestra for violinconecrto's too see what is suitable for string orchestra, chamberorchestra or full symphony orchestra. This is what I found till now (if it is all right) and I begin with the rarities:

Haydn leaving-symphony before the rebuilding of a concerthall

Yesterday I saw a strange picture on the frontpage of my newspaper. 2 people with helmets play violin. In the subscribtion under the photo stood that 2 people play the Haydn leaving-symphony before the rebuilding of a concerthall in Utrecht in the centre of the Netherlands, which will last 4 years. I earlier saw this Haydn-symphony in the concerthall. During the piece nearly all members of the orchestra leave during playing and walked away. Here they got a helmet and a yellow reflecting jacket, like they were construction workers.
In those 4 years they will play in churches and other halls in the neighboorhood.

I FOUND AN ORCHESTRA PLAYING 5TH VIOLINCONCERTO OF HENRI VIEUXTEMPS!!

In the musiclibary of the FASO, Federation Of Amateur Orchestra's, http://www.fasobib.nl/info/index.php?table_name=catalogus , I found out that

an orchestra had lent the 5th violincocnerto of Henri Vieuxtemps

Some time ago it was also lent and I saw the concert with this 5th Vieuxtemps

This time it was an orchestra in the neighboorhood in Wassenaar, near Den Haag, The Hague, near the coast of Holland, just half an hour driving with my car, said someone of the musiclibrary of the FASO.

So I mailed someone of that orchestra and I could play with them, which I did yesterday, and we play the 5th violinconcerto of Vieuxtemps without soloist yet, who will come later and her name is Yvonne Smeulers

Jazz-violinist Jean Luc Ponty

When I was 14 or 15 I got from boys of school for my birtday an elpee of Jean Luc Ponty called Cosmic Messenger:

28 years later I saw my old hero live at The Haque Jazz. After the show I got an autograph on the Ponty cd of a friend called "Jazz in Paris". Jean Luc Ponty played on a electric violin with 5 strings. A percussion player from Senegal had 4 Djembé 's.
Also we saw Nigel Kennedy, who made the best sold clasical cd The 4seasons of Vivaldi, who played jazz and 1 classical cadenza with a Polish band, but those photo's were too dark and too far away.

Piano Elisabeth competition in Brussel

I was with a friend 1 day in Brussel for the first round. Later I visited twice the 2th round. In the hall I found a statue of JENO HUBAY, the composer of my weblog. For promotion I use his name in MY weblog www.violinist.com/blog/jenohubay, because his 3th violinconcerto opus 99 is the best violinconcerto I know.

I am a bit afraid that HUBAY can become deaf, so I use my earplugs and also that he does not hear all the music that he has not composed that they play nowadays of other composers.
Also I found another great idol of me HENRI VIEUXTEMPS

I found even VIEUXTEMPS_BEER in a restaurant where we ate between the midday and evening session.
HUBAY has written the orchestra part of the 7th violinconcerto of VIEUXTEMPS after his dead.
Also there was a statue of CHARLES AUGUSTE DE BERIOT in the conservatory, but we did not make a picture of him.
