Finally, I'm improving...

February 17, 2007 at 8:50 AM

My teacher commented that I'm improving, and I feel so happy. I've actually not been practicing that much, but am able to play things fairly well, with just one walk through. My next lesson, the teacher asked if I had any special sheet music that I'd like to learn, so I'm bringing in James Bond and Star Wars. Does that make me a bad person?

Heh, not all of us want to play Bach;)

I have felt exactally the opposite recently. I have a new teacher and we are doing tons of etudes lately. And when I get one thing right she wants she points out something else I am doing wrong. We have been on the same etude for about a month and I hope it will end soon lol...

We played some John Williams in my high school orchestra--Star Wars, Superman. The audience loved it. So did I. But unless you're playing Princess Leia's theme or something, the brass have much better parts than the violins . . .
