It's summer time in Georgia as the mid-west experiences a winter storm. It was 78 degrees in Jonesboro this afternoon. The chocolate I'd purchased for Christmas stockings melted in my car. How grim! We had a dinner party Saturday night and though it was nice to enjoy drinks on the back porch, we had to turn on the air conditioner for a while when we sat down to eat. This weather is crazy.

I got to play my viola in a quartet at church a few Sundays ago and things went well. The remaining few weeks of December will be spent fine tuning my church orchestra music. The Mozart 12th Mass is my favorite this year. The choir sounds great on that piece too. We are repeating several pieces from the past few years, so the viola parts are all new to me and I've enjoyed the challenge.

I'm switching to the viola section in the community symphony in January. I can't wait.

Lovely weather, isn't it? Good luck on viola. I have found in church music that the viola part is significantly easier than the violin.
