I don't know if 2008 is going to hold as many big changes for me as 2007. After all, last year IThis year I'm hoping to tie up some loose ends and focus on longer-term goals. I've been poking away at the Dvorak Violin Concerto for some time, picking it up and putting it down to focus on these other pieces, but I'd like to work on it in earnest this year. I don't think I'll be able to get it ready for my teacher's spring recital, so for that maybe I'll see if I can play the Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso (which I worked on with a former teacher) or perhaps one of the Vivaldi Four Seasons, as something fun but not too consuming.
My main goal, though, is to place violin at a higher priority than my other activities and really get in some quality practicing every day. If I could practice all year the way I did the last few weeks before my recital, I'd be in great shape. :)
