I'm a junior studying violin and viola at the University of Kansas, where I have served as concertmaster, principle 2nd violin, and principle viola of the KU Symphony. I am also a member of KU's Helianthus Contemporary Music Ensemble. In high school I played in the Topeka Youth Orchestra, during which time I also soloed with both the Topeka Symphony and the Topeka Youth Orchestra as finalist in their Youth Talent Competition. In the past few summers I have attended the Aspen Music Festival, Sound Encounters, and the Sunflower Music Festival. I have also performed in master classes taught by Gil Shaham, The Ahn Trio, William Preucil, Paul Kantor, and Brian Lewis, among others. I currently teach violin and viola lessons at Hume Music Store in Topeka, KS, and in my studio in Lawrence.

I absolutely love teaching, and find nothing more inspiring than sharing my music and being a mentor to my students. I'm also interested in orchestral, contemporary, and chamber music, and hope to pursue them all in some form. My primary solo instrument is violin, but I have recently fallen in love with the viola as well and plan to continue on both instruments.
