Juan Gris (1916)Those violins are kubistic.



Marc Chagall. His violins are in the Orphistic style, derived from the Kubistic period.

Although not big on cubism myself, I wouldn’t mind having a few of these prints around. Any idea where I can get them without paying $$$?

This is wonderful. Artists cannot put into words how the violin has inspired them. There are a lot of designed and contrived illustrations of the violin for mugs and T shirts out there. I checked. So nice to see a collection of this sort with the really notable artists represented.
