I am an adult student past my second year of study. I started up again with piano and theory as an adult for several years. (I included my teacher at the end of my bio. He taught me discipline, theory and his own counting method) I enjoy the violin because it's sound is more like a voice. I dropped piano lessons for a more serious study of the violin. Blogging is a good way to sit down and reflect on this journey. I cannot make violin my whole life but it is scheduled into my day like combing your hair and brushing your teeth. There is something strange about missing a day's practice. Missing a lesson--not wonderful--missing a practice worse.
