Violin photo's of my holiday in Spain, Portugal, France

August 10, 2007 at 10:54 AM

I made with my digital camera during my holiday in Spain photo's of all objects concerning the violin. Here some photo's, the rest will follow.
Most of these photo's have been taken in Sitges near Barcelona most in 3 museums there.

A porcelain violin in the same size as a wooden violin in a museum of a rich family of Sitges

a little man playing the violin in a vitrine in the rich family museum in Sitges

A painting of a Paganini look alike in the rich family museum in Sitges

A close up of a very little tin soldier playing a violin

Same photo, a bit vague in spite of stabilisation in my camera

..eh.. the front of store in Avignon, France. Do you understand the connection with the violin?

I'm jealous!. I love Portugal. The language, the food, the people, the rural:urban hardened honed sensibilities. But, I have to admit, its mostly the language.

A perfect mixture of Spanish and French, I wish I could master what I see as the world's most romantic language. I studied in the Azores for about a year and a half and had my conversational skills down well enough to travel, but, but, ... I'm jealous!. eh pah!

Perhaps you know the meaning of : ARCO ESCURO? I don't think it has something to do with bowing on a violin.
Perhaps later I can put some non-violin photo's of Lisboa and Porto on my blog?

Looks like you're putting that new camera to good use. These are great pictures - thanks for sharing! That porcelain violin is quite pretty, and I love all the little statues. :)
