I have just liberated myself and bought a metronome. I haven't had one since I was 14 but I figured I'm never too old to stay on tempo. hah. I printed out some new etudes that I NEED to be kept on time with and I remembered that they make metronomes for that very purpose... What a novel idea!!

Lol. I love metronomes, they are great. For my birthday I got one of those ones that lights up with the beat! It was awesome lol. Good luck!

Ha ha, Linda, I was just thinking the same thing. Metronomes are great, though. Even if they speed up at the most inopportune moments. (I swear it's true!)
