
Karl Amadeus Hartmann (1905-1963) wrote Concerto funebre for violin + string orchestra. I have heard it once in Concertgebouw Amsterdam and will soon hear it again life by a amateurorchestra. It is a quite popular piece and relative often performed.
Original BWV 1052 is a concerto for hapsichord + orchestra, but here the version for violin+ orchestra:
