Not a surprise, we would all want to become soloists but just one in a million will suceed...

In my case, it wouldn't be to show off.  I truely love the solo rep.  Very beautiful works.

I am happy to have remained amateur to be able to do more soloing (with a piano as the orchestra : ) as well as chamber music.  For sure, at a lesser standard and... when university will be over

Still, I think that with much passion, practices and a serious mind, eventually, I'll be able to be a bigger fish in the amateur pound than the tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny fish I would be in the professional pound.  (also in terms of nice opportunities)

But that is just my point of view on my situation.  No doubt that someone else can have another opinion and that's find!
