Well, I've been learning Carpice Vennois by Kreisler over the past 2 weeks and I'm ready to play it for my teacher. Kreisler has changed my views on contemporary composers. They are not all bad as long as they can play violin. Now, I have to get a head start on Praeludium and Allegro by Kreisler so that my teacher will get the Bruch VC No.1 in G minor for me.

I have trouble doing my homework. I end up either practicing or playing video games. Why is this? My grades have not suffered much... A, B, B, B, and C. I've been doing all of the homework for the class I have a C in, but not much in the others. If I ddi all of my homework, then I'd end up wasting four hours of my life every night... the way I am currently going... I only waste half an hour to an hour.

although we know that practice is more important, the teachers do not see it that way. Keep with 1 hour a night for home work, but spend a couple hours on the weekend studying. It may be boring, but it will help you in many ways:
1)you get better grades, which if you carry them through to senior year you'll get into a good uni.
2) once you get into uni, you'll know how to study. THis will be fun study because you'll be studying something you love, so it's easier to get into it.

I agree with Ben that studying is not wasting time. Getting good grades will pay off for you very soon. You can get good grades and practice, too.
