As of August, we'll be adding another member to our band -- only he or she (currently "it" or "the critter") will be mostly relegated to the Gurgle and Rattle parts for a while. Perhaps a bit of doubling, if he or she is particularly talented, on the Belch and Burble lines.
Yeah, I'm a bit scattered. I've heard it gets worse as you get into the second trimester... which I'm just beginning. Beware!
So, my violin teacher has encouraged me to take this opportunity to really practice, practice, practice... apparently because I'll have nothing else to do, what with holding down a full-time job and trying to do a ton of redecorating/childproofing in the house. And don't forget all the extra time I now spend eating!
I've re-joined the local choral society 'cause they're doing tons of Mozart and I really wanted to be singing while the critter's own vocal chords are developing. In a few more weeks, orchestra will start up again for the spring, too.
And I thought I was trying to cut down on extracurriculars...
Anyway, more later, but I wanted to actually start this thingy up again.
Children are indeed a blessing. However, I have no doubt that I will need strength and patience in order to endure said blessing. :)
But I'm thinking about 32nd size violins...;)
