Happy Gawai for all of you in Malaysia!

I *finally* got moved into my new house, unpacked, hung most of my artwork, and most importantly - set up the conservatory. The acoustics in the formal living room are absolutely amazing. My father the physist, gave me advice on how to decorate and keep the acoustical quality. Engineers!!! I learned more about how glass was a bad acousical medium than I ever wanted to know. He lurks here to see what I'm posting and called me on how he was taking pictures during my concert and actually tried to deny it, so I'll leave that last comment to what I just wrote and you can read into it as much as you want (yoo too dad!)

I'm looking forward to tomorrow when I can really try out my new music room without the un-loaders and un-packers and assorted neighbors dropping by to welcome me to the neighborhood. Funny thing with my neighbors. I think that they thought that I was the wife managing the moving-in while my husband was working. I think I may have supprised them a bit when I told them it was just me (no husband). They are quite nice however - even got a welcome card and flowers from one neighbor, and another offered her son to mow my lawn this summer (for a small fee of course.) I already fell at home and so happy that I made the move.

Now, off to sleep in my own bed for the first time in over 2 months!!!!
