SAT or ACT

I have to decide which to do the SAT or the ACT. Maybe someone out there with some experience can help. What I need is the pros and cons. What each is about. That kind of thing. Thanks.
I plan on taking the SAT. I have heard that the SAT is also easier. But I couldn't tell you from my own experience.... I like the fact that the ACT has an optional written portion..
Take the ACT, a lot of schools say they'll accept either, but in practice they tend to prefer the ACT. I took the SAT and although I got into college with no problem I think I missed out on a scholarship or two because I didn't have ACT scores.
Thank you so much. I was planning on taking the ACT in my opinion it looks easier but it does go into a lot of topics I might have some problems with, like geometry and trig.
You really should take both. None of us can decide which one will be easier for you. Take them both and then you will know which one you did better on. If you completely fail one, don't send your scores anywhere. I found the SAT to be much easier than the ACT, however, when I took the SAT, I didn't have to do the newly implemented writing portion.
Yeah, I was wondering why you had to choose between the two. Everyone I hung out with in high school took them both, and most took them more than once! But it's been a while since I was in school so maybe things have changed. I took each one twice and improved both scores, which is usualy the case.
If you are really interested in doing well for your college applications, take them both, and take them twice.

Typically, colleges on the coasts accept the SAT and colleges in the midwest look at the ACT.
What about Florida?
Go to the websites of whatever schools you are interested and look at admissions requirements. Or find their toll free number and call and ask.
Simple Answer! TAKE THEM BOTH!! :D
cant lose that way.
and you have the most flexibility.
