Rubik's Cube

October 2, 2007 at 1:36 AM

I'm sorry, I have this bad habit of getting off topic... but I have just been able to solve a Rubik's Cube in 1 minute 16 seconds. YAY! My personal best. Now I'm working on it one-handed.

How limber is your cube? Mine was always too stiff to be able to do in less than about 2 minutes.

It's pretty loose. But I have to line it up exactly to move it a different direction. I have a friend's whose you just have to get close and then it turns.

We use "Every Georgia BullDog Fights" or "Every Georgia Bulldog Defeats Florida" College football and violin instruction...what a match!

I've never been able to solve one. Period.

How do you do it?

When you buy a Rubik's cube there are instructions in the packaging. They include it so they say they did, but it's kind of hidden so not to many people can solve it.

It comes with instructions now? Mine didn't. I learned how to solve it from this book:

I have a mathematically-inclined friend who figured it out himself during a band rehearsal.
