Movie-, musical- (+ Game) orchestra Timbres Divers

November 27, 2011 at 4:56 PM

I play now in a Movie-, Musical- (+ Game)- orchestra Timbres Divers http://www.timbresdivers.nl/ . We played the music of Disneymovies like Aladdin and Sinbad, but also game-music of the battlegame Medal of Honor and rumba-like music of Cole Porter (Begin the Beguine 5.). It is like a normal symphony orchestra but we have 4 saxofones (2 alts, 1 tenor, 1 baritone)and there is a prominent role for the marimba and xylophone. In Escapades (3) there is a long saxophonesolo and we had to say Shh.. and snip with our fingers.
