PART 3 Why are these rare violinconcerto's never been played or seldom recorded? This week the technical difficult 2th violinconcerto “in Hungarian style” opus 11 of Joseph Joachim and the 3th opus 99 of the Hungarian Jeno Hubay. Earlier I sent you this double cd of Aaron Rosand for the 1th Godard violinconcerto op.35 on disc 2 number 2.
Joachim violinconcerto no. 2 opus11 you can hear on disc 1 of Aaron Rosand numbers 1. I. Allegro Un Poco Maestoso, 2. II. Romanze: Andante, 3. III. Finale Alla Zingara: Allegro Con Spirito: on Windows media, while seeing the notes in pdf. Each part 1 minute.
This Joachim2 violinconcerto is also recorded by Rachel Barton and Elmar Oliveira.
Hubay violinconcerto no.3 opus 99 you can hear on disc 1 of Aaron Rosand numbers 4 I. Introduction Quasi Fantasia: Moderato, 5 II. Scherzo, 6 III. Adagio, 7 IV. Finale: Allegro Con Fuoco
Also Vilmos Szabadi has recorded the 3th Hubay and violinist Hagai Shaham.
It is my dream to play these pieces in an amateurochestra or to hear them once in a concerthall. But how far is this dream from reality?
Best regards Bram Heemskerk
