Today I went to the doctors office, and I got three shots that I wasn't expecting. When the doctor told me I got so upset I started to cry, actually, because I'm really scared of shots for some reason. I got DPT, which didn't hurt too much, but was just hard to see the needle going under my skin. Then I got shot for some long name of a disease I don't remember, which hurt a lot. It was like huge pain surging through my arm. Then I went to another room where a woman said what sounded like "I'm going to get your fingerprint". It sounded like I was a criminal, were they going to get a mug shot too? But when I sat down she clamped some sharp thing down on my finger and it really felt like it was being stapled. She said "get your finger pricked" or something like that. I jerked my hand away so fast I nearly fell over. I had to get all those shots for Encore...for some reason the state of Ohio is really intent on that. It was a nightmare, but those are my last shots! YAY!Anyway, I had a lessons yesterday and today, and I've started to play the Wieniawski...#2, I think, the third mvt. I'm not sure which number it is. My teacher was a little concerned about reaching the double stops on the new violin, but I can reach them OK. He told me yesterday that the piece sounded like an azalea (might have been a different flower) about to bloom, which made me very happy.
We have relatives visiting from Canada, so we're anticipating a lot of tiresome get-togethers with 4 year olds which are very draining. Well, they'll be gone soon. *cackle*
