“Sometimes, when my back is turned away, Bowie calls to me.”
“Your bow?”
“It sings to me, a song.”
“How does it go?”
(To the tune of “Hello My Baby”)
“Show me your bow hold, show me your bow hold, I think you’re really swell!”
“Huh!”
“And when my dog comes round, Bowie growls at him. Dogs like to chew sticks, you know.”
From Kelsey Z.

Emily, I don't always "get" your blogs but one thing is for sure they always make me smile, laugh, or just plain think about things!

I used to play hockey for the Bowie Hockey Club.

When I was a little kid my older teenage neighbor used to play David Bowie's "Fame" really loud and I thought it was the koolest.

I prefer Spydercos to Bowie knives, though the K-bar is a close second.

I wonder if Daniel Boone carried a bowie knife? Maybe not; maybe Davy Crockett did.

Did DAvy Crocket ever venture to California? There is a town in California named Crocket. There is a real sugar factory there. It is like a dirtier even more Victorian version of Wonka's factory. The molasses literally paves the floor about a foot thick.

Blackstrap molasses is my favorite, It is second only to beets for growing hair on your chest.

There is a town south of San Jose that claims to be the Broccoli capital of the world.

I like to cut broccoli with a bowie knife. I feed the stems to the dog.

A peeled stem is sweeter and milder than the florets, though incapable of sponging up sauce.

I personally carry a Kershaw. I like the spring-assisted flip, for speedy stem removal while the produce department guy's back is turned.

"Under Pressure" is the best song by Bowie. George says it's the best song of all time.

...And well, that explains the hair problem.

When I was a DJ in college I used to like Nik Kershaw's debut single.

Kershaw makes a knife called the "Alaskan."

It is true about the sweetness of the stems. Diced to 15mm cubes and steamed, they are delicious.

A gut hook blade, hunting blade, and saw blade are all manditory prerequisites in this state.
