New condition (er?)

March 12, 2007 at 10:19 PM

The sweet fragrance of white nectarine.
It perfumes every room I enter.
What's that I hear?
You don't smell it?
29 inches coming your way!
Okay, I admit it.
So, I do have split-ends.
So my split-ends have split-ends.
So my split-ends' split-ends have split-ends.
But who's to say I need a hair cut?

Me, honey. It sounds like you are feeling bad hair karma; go treat yourself to a nice haircut. Sometimes even the best conditioner is simply no substitute for a nice new coiffure.

Why do we call them white nectarines if they look dark red outside? Bananas are also white inside but nobody says "white bananas"...

"Me, honey. "

Take her word for it. That's a phrase spoken only by hair experts.

Is that condition ADD? What did nectarines have to do with anything?!

PS - Split ends...wow. What a way to describe it! That sounds like my hair's life story.

If you want to keep Hippy Hair in good shape, try this:

Once a week, work a teaspoon of olive oil (any kind) into the ends. Knot it into a bun, practice Vivaldi for three hours (German music won't work here, sorry) and then shampoo/condition as usual.

Also, use a boar's hair brush.

And no dryers or irons. Heat ruins hair.

anna...that wouldn't work for me cuz at this point vivaldi is a little out of my reach...and three hours is wayy to much of my playing for mine and everyone else's nerves...

OK, Sarah, why don't you spend the time listening to Verdi's "Rigoletto"? Or better yet, get Schlomo Mintz's 10 CD set of the Vivaldi violin concertos? That should while away the time...

OK. Two things:

1. Where are the pictures? Post pictures of 29 inch hair. Hide your face with the moon or something to keep the mystery.

Or you can do a fotomontage with the vcommie t-shirt medallion replacing your face.

2. Did you see the lunar eclipse a week or so ago? We saw it. That woiuld be a good photo too.

I wonder what moonlight does to split ends? It is ostensibly good for warts.

Trust me Syd, that wouldn't be a new condition. ;)

Anne- I'm so going to try that this weekend! Vivaldi and all.
