I hate sounding like a dork when trying to pronounce various violinists names etc.

Can anyone tell me how "Sevcik" is pronounced?

they say sevcik is pronounced as SHEVV-chick

That's really weird...The only way I've ever heard it pronounced is SEV-chick...
