April 2008

Yay! :)

April 4, 2008 19:39

I got accepted to Aspen today as a student of Paul Kantor! I'm so excited! I'll be going to the second session (July/August). I have to admit, I'm a little intimidated, because it'll be the first really 'big' festival I've been to. I've been to some wonderful and memorable music camps, but they were all local and fairly small. Which I loved, don't get me wrong; but I think I'm ready to move on to some new challenges. I'm looking forward to Aspen — I've struggled with the big fish in a small pond syndrome for a long time, and am curious what it will be like to venture out into the larger musical world. I'm sure I have an exciting summer ahead of me!

P.S. My favorite part? (well, one of them, anyway . . . ) I get to see Edgar Meyer perform live! :D I can't wait!

P.P.S Anyone else coming to Aspen this summer?
