Well, I've made it into the University of Maryland, College Park for my MM. Since it was in my top 2 choices for my master's, I'm really stoked! I just have to wait to hear from Peabody, which is the only school I applied to that I think I could even consider turning down UMD for. UMD has awesome teachers, amazing facilities, really nice practice rooms, and awesome ensembles. I also get to keep my spot with Loudoun Symphony, which is a really great gig to have. Plus, since I qualify for in-state tuition, it only costs around $7500/year to go there, and that's with NO financial assistance. Pretty sweet. Peabody is around 5 times that, I think.
In any event, I'm starting my master's next year! Awesome!
