Shosty 5 Saved My Pride

I am glowing with pride.

I'm assistant concermistress at my university. I asked to sit concertmaster for Shostakovich 5 tonight so that I could have another go at the solos. I thought for sure I could do them better than I did the summer before arriving at university.

I did.

I am so proud of myself, I can't sleep. I don't ever feel like this, so I'm really inspired. I don't ever want to be away from my violin, now!

Ding dong, the funk is gone... =D

Obligato G,D,A + Gold Label E = your string combination. Stop looking elsewhere and experimenting to try and save a few bucks. That is more of a waste of money.
Practice to learn to play well. Practice to fix something or develop something. Do not practice to learn to play better. Do not practice to play better than someone else, either.
If it's not enjoyable and/or helpful, don't do it. It's a waste of time for me.
If there's a better way for me to do something, do it; even if a teacher says no.
Experiment in practice to discover, not to cheat.
