hello all my stringed friends,
I had my first real lesson with a teacher after learning on my own for about 6 months it was quite the experience for me, the person that has taken on the challenge of teaching me was very very calm and understanding to my issues of finger placement and bowing problems knowing that I had been learning on my own, BUT I do not agree with his idea of putting white out on the neck for marking the correct position of notes and had explained that I would rather use ( auto piniping ) to a prompt NO ! so what I my do is use a less valuable instrument for this idea till I learn the correct placement ( intonation ) then change to my better instrument, also he did not like my using the ( bow hold buddy ) said that I should not subject myself to the extra weight on the bow. I will come back and let everyone know how lesson 2 goes when I see him in 2 weeks said this will give me plenty of time to get the " A " scale and timing down along with " Mary Had A Little Lamb " and " Twinkle Twinkle " in the correct chord and time
