Are there times that you just want to smash your violin into the ground? I'm so frustrated with practicing and seemingly going nowhere that I wish I could toss my violin off the Empire State building. I would never do that of course, but just a thought.
I cannot believe the winner of American Idol Season 7. David Cook. I don't know if people just generally liked him or if they voted for him out of spite to the judges. But he's the winner...I'm kind of glad David Archuleta came in second. The first place winner gets a recording contract with American Idol....he must share lots of the money with American Idol, I've heard that it's somewhere up to 75% or something like that. I don't know...since David A. is the runner up I guess he get's more generally than David C. gets.
David A. already has a recording contract with Sony so he's good to go already. : ) Maybe I'll buy it...
This is for posterity. I am watching American Idol for the first time and now that it's down to the final two I want to make a prediction...I think it'll be David Archuleta. My sister thinks David Cook. I really do hope it's David A. I don't know why. I think it's because from day one I could see the talent in him. Kind of like myself...joking. My cousin is obsessed with him. (She's a 13 year old girl.) She has a picture of him on her phone, she also used the video camera on her phone to record a video clip of him and she would watch it every day which makes it official obsession. Anyways I thought I'd put this prediction out there. Hopefully I'm right.
David A. can also sing multiple styles as opposed to David C.
Hopefully I hear imput for others out there who are also watching...
I have come very far in many of my instruments but piano has been the most successful. Since September I have learned 3 new classical pieces. (For those of you who don't keep up with me. I can't seem to play classical music. It has always been a huge obstacle.) Bach's Invention No. 8, 24 Octave Etude Study by: Ogt (I this is classical), and Chopin Prelude in B minor. Now I have moved on to a super fun one: Mozart's Turkish March. YAY! Let's see how long it takes me to learn this one. The Bach piece was only 2 pages and it took me about 5 months. This 3 pages. YIKES! Hopefully I'll learn this only faster. I'll keep reporting on how this piece is coming along. I want a grand piano, if you would like to donate please email me. Only joking, kind of.
