I have finally been tenatively been put in for piano lessons. I start September 17th at: one lesson per week (I think, we're still waiting for some information in the mail), at one hour, for the low cost of $75 a month.
After one week at camp and a week of Vacation Bible School at my church I'm so tired. Let me recap through camp. I went there and got to play mandolin through the singing of the services because they wanted people in their orchestra. I got to play a concert violin, compared to mine; mine is trash. I actually sounded really good on songs I can't play very well. Wow! It was fun.
Vacation Bible School is very tiring. Although I didn't teach I was tired just playing piano and running the store. I'm excited to start resting this September. Oh yeah I have to get a job.
Oh and to Sarah: It was four competetions but I actually had to play 8 different times for competitions, and 2 times for winning. (Although I didn't win: My piano teacher's solo, and my piano's teacher and her friend.
Tomorrow I leave to go to Mossy Rock Washington(?) I think it's in Washington. Anyways I need lots of help a week in the wilderness. I'm entering into four competitions: Vocal Solo, Piano Solo, Vocal Octet, Vocal Quintet (Quartet, not sure yet). I also will be playing for two people's solos and two duets.
I had a hard laugh today in Driver's Ed. The kid who sits behind me was talking to the kid who sits next to him. They were discussing Panda Express, the restaurant. The kids sitting behind me, "Joey", didn't know what it was. He thought it was a movie. I burst out laughing thankfully it was a break. Then he said: "Oh, that's The Polar Express"
I finally got my new cds from Heartland Baptist Bible College. I'm so excited. I now have the new: Witness!, Glory Bound Quartet, and Assurance Trio. How many cds do I have now? 13.
Witness! - 6
Glory Bound Quartet - 5
Assurance Trio - 1
The Heartland Trio - 1
That's a lot of cds.
