Practice, Chords, and CDs

February 27, 2007 12:53

I love school. I don't know how many others my age like school as well.
I also love music. I have been trying to "de-chord" the hymnal. I want to get all the chords and then transpose them for me and my sister( who also plays guitar) so we can play for the church. It's hard.

There's like 6 weeks till our cd. Hopefully someone out there will want to buy one, it'll be two violins and a piano. We will eventually be putting up a website. I hope you all visit it.

I want a grand piano, if you would like to donate then e-mail me. Only joking kind of.

Mandolin

February 22, 2007 23:41

I am considering buying a mandolin. I was thinking of the Shar one because it's in my price range. What are your thoughts on it. Is there a different site you would recommend? It needs to be about $200. No more.
Should I get Acoustic or Acoustic-Electric?

Mini-Orchestra

February 20, 2007 15:00

This Sunday we're going to have an evangelist family at our church, here's a list of the instruments they play:
Guitar
Mandolin
Violin
Flute
Recorder
Piano

They all play their instruments very well. I'm just schocked. Only three of the instruments are used in congregational singing, guitar, mandolin, and piano.
But this will make our mini-orchestra the biggest ever.
Piano, maybe two
Clarinet
Violin (ME)
Guitar
Mandolin

I'm so excited! We'll skip the grand pino stuff this time.

Capo?

February 18, 2007 14:51

Is "capo" pronounced with a long a "A" or a short "A"? Anyways, I got a guitar capo for the ukulele. It's an elastic one, so it fits really well. :-) Love it, still trying to figure out how it works. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.
I want a grand piano, if you would like to donate to this e-mail me. Only joking, kind of.

I'm at a really big hill. It seems that I can't progress any farther without a better violin.
