The electric violin I ordered finally came in this week. It's incredible. I'm having a little trouble getting used to the weight of the instrument, but everything takes time! :) I never thought when I started playing at age 10 that I would have a violin that required batteries one day! That amuses me.

Only a week left until my husband and I get to return home to Ohio! I'm finishing up last minute stuff around the house, making sure everything is put in it's place, folding all the laundry, making sure the luggage is dusted... so as you can see I'm pretty bored! Excited none the less though! My neice keeps calling me and asking me how many days left until I come home. She's potty training, and getting the hang of it quite fast! She must have got her brains from my side of the family! :)

I've never really liked country music, but I find myself sitting here listening to LeeAnn Womack. Maybe it's because I'm lonely? My husband spent the night at a friends last night, he was helping him move and it was late, so he stayed. It was the first time we'd spent a night alone since we got married. Aye aye aye!

Time to put Allegro to rest!! :) Good Day!

The only thing worse than waking up to barking dogs at 7am, is not wakin up at all. My dogs are so spoiled it's unbelievable. Seven 'O Clock in the morning!! I am not a very pretty person in the morning, especially when I get woken up because the neighbor opens his door and the dogs hear it and go bezerk. Oh well.

My husband picked the next piece he wants me to play. It's very beautiful. You'll never guess what it is. The love theme from the Godfather but Nino Rota. I know it's supposed to be an orchestra piece, but the violin solo is what he wants to hear. So if that's what he wants that's what he'll get! :)

Allegro is coming along. I think in a few more days I'll be able to retire this one and move on. My mother wants to hear it when we go back home. Yikes.

Last night was a good night. Matt (my husband) and I went pawn shopping. We found a guitar that he loved, a few books and a couple of movies. They also had a beautiful oak dining room table for $50. It seats 6 and it's brand new in the packaging. Since we don't have a dining room table yet, I sort of sweet talked Matt into 'thinking about it'. The book that I bought was Message in a Bottle by Nicholas Sparks. I absolutely love Nicholas Sparks. I started reading it in the car yesterday and I couldn't put it down.
After we had our exciting pawn shopping event, Matts' friends (my newly found friends) came over for pizza and a movie. It ended up being 2 pizzas and a movie and a half because everyone was hungry and tired. After we got our fill of Little Caesar's, we kept dropping out like flies. One by one we fell asleep. I had fun though. It was nice to talk to someone new.

Thank you ever so much John Lanceley! :) I slowed down practicing Allegro and broke it down into sections. I've heard improvement on my part! Nothing makes me happier than bettering myself for the sake of others (my poor husbands ears). Just kidding!

I need to find a job that I can get hired now and start next month after vacation. My husband and I are going home in 3 weeks! We are both very excited about seeing out families and friends. But yea, I haven't had a job for a month and already I'm bored out of my mind. If I had a car I could go do my photography thing, but my car has taken a hiatus from the working world as well.

Okay, it's 7 am I'm going back to sleep. Good dreams!

My playing has seems to have come to a stand-still. I have been practicing the same piece, Allegro by Fiocco, for over a month and I am having trouble with timing. There are pensil marks all over the sheets of music and it's not helping because when I look down to see the mark I lose my train of thought and fumble the next bar. Maybe I should try recording myself and listening to it to find my problems. I refuse to move on until this piece is 'under my belt'.
