György Ligeti has died today in Vienna

I heard about it this morning, nearly cried. What a composer--wondrous strange.

Wow, we can't edit comments on this can we. I just noticed my Hungarian letters come out as gibberish. It's supposed to be "Koszonom", but with little dots over the O's. :)

The music world was a better one because Ligeti wrote music in it. He'll be missed. What a life that man lived and what a legacy he has left to inspire up-coming musicians and composers.
