What do you do with your old violin when you upgrade?

I am interesting in trying out the Jay Haide L'anncience violin but was wondering when you guys upgrade, what do you do with your old violin? Do you sell it to the violin shop? craigslist or ebay?? I currently have a student violin by Gliga, i love it, but would love to look into a better one since I've been progressing fast (a reward for myself!!)

2nd Recital for an Adult Beginner (viva Vivaldi!!!!)

It has been a very stressful week (big presentation at work where the VP was there watching me!!), and 2 days later, my 2nd Recital!

I was nervous a few hours before the recital. I have not even rehearsed with the pianist because of my hectic work schedule, and I was told by my husband (who has super sensitive ears and probably an internal metronome) that I don't listen to others when I play, my 16th notes are rushed, I speed up/down unpredictably... okay...that scared me.

So, I walk in to rehearse with the pianist. I told her that I'm not very musical, very likely that I will not be able to keep up with her, she's gonna have to really listen to me.. blah blah blah, but it went really well! No problem at all, we listen to each other and adjusted when necessary!

I played the Vivaldi A minor first movement. I realized two things: 1. Because of the speed of this piece, there was no time for me to get nervous to the point where my bow bounces (happened to me in my first recital!!)
2. Because of the speed, it only take a small mental block or hiccup, to make mistakes, luckily i was able to recover.

I wasn't as nervous as the first recital, and I played this piece confidently with big sounds. I think it helped that this was an adult only recital, and it's a joint function with flute and cello studios. I was very happy with this performance (except a few mistakes towards the end).

I also found out that I LOVE the sound of cello, not so much of the flute. :P

Suggestions fellow v.commers: I'm a little bit sick of playing Suzuki book 4 (working on the bach double), is there anything else outside of the Suzuki repertoire you can recommend me to learn/play at my level?
