The director of a small orchaestra cornered me at my club on monday, and gave me copies of the 2nd violin part for two of the pieces they are playing, Greig's Norwegian Dance and an arrangement of meolodies from My Fair Lady. "Work on these a bit then come join us" he says. The idea is pretty terrifying, but I'm going to give it a go. The pieces look doable, but there are a quite a few double stops and I just started working on those. I'm afraid I might make quite the racket on those passages, so I may have to rewrite them as single notes if that's allowed. Geronimoooo!
