Thank You Schuback Violins!
May 17, 2012 12:18
Before:
My violin looks flawless. Literally. It had worm damage and a dent right above where the sound post should go. Now the sound post is secure AND the entire instrument is completely restored. New bass bar, tailpiece materials, chin rest even (yes, they are that detailed), SEVERAL sound post adjustments to "make sure" it's in the right place, a shortened and then re-elongated tailpiece (for experiment of sound), and finally, retouching the new areas to match the aged varnish perfectly, and even polished. Thank you, thank you Schubacks for turning this 1813 piece of Dublin history into an enjoyable musical instrument for decades, and perhaps centuries, to come.
