Violin Competitions

I've always been interested in violin competitions and would like to enter some in the near future. Does anyone know of any prestigious violin competitions that could get me noticed?

You can start with the Young Artists Competitions held by your local or regional professional/amateur orchestras, cultural organizations (such as this one), ASTA or MTNA chapters. If you do well in those, you can try Sphinx or other national/international competitions next. If your teacher is an ASTA member and you feel ready, there is still time to enter ASTA's National Solo Competition. Do talk to your teacher.
