Summer Music Fun!
It has been some time since my last entry. Lately, I have been going back to some of my old favorite pieces to play. One of the works I'm currently enjoying is Vivaldi's Concerto in A minor for two violins and piano. I have a very good friend with whom I'm able to play various duets with and this is a one of those nice little works that seems to be quintessential Vivaldi and is a joy and pleasure to play. Another piece I've been playing lately in duet form is The Magnificat by James Cheponis. The piece wasn't really written for two violins but can easily be adapted and the harmony is at once simple and beautiful. I hope everyone else is having an enjoyable summer musically!
