I've been bad...

December 23, 2005 at 5:51 PM

I've been bad, and should be spanked. I've gone a week, and have only practiced about an hour. I know the teacher will see it too, especially after the last lesson, where I blew through 4 songs, got sign off to move on. Work has just been a drain trying to gear up for xmas. I hope the teacher understands. I'm trying to learn, really! If santa judged me based on my violin practice in the last week, I'd get coal for sure.

Next week though, I have it off, so I'll practice inbetween learning to program robots for animation. Life is good;)

Oh, the tuning fork, I ordered, should come in today, looking forward to tune by ear.

Don't worry, a little while longer and the addiction will be complete.

I like your 3dmations, but what happened to the poor little rubber ducky?

I had my lesson, and the teacher actually passed me through two songs. I told him I was shocked he did. He said at my level, I shouldn't worry about perfect tone, which I had been for all the previous pieces. And instead work on technique and getting through each piece. I am having fun, and will try harder for next time.

Now, in response to the ducky question..., that's part of 'Sesame Street 4D', which is a special venue theater piece I did for Universal Studios Tokyo. It should be coming here soon. Ernie tosses Ducky out at the camera, and it flies up toward the camera over an ocean through clouds where gravity finally takes over and it plunges down into the ocean with the camera following. At the break of the ocean, the camera keeps going down further and further until it finds Ernie and Burt doing the tango with an Octopus in his underwater garden, in the shade of course;) The best animation in that show has to do with cookie monster and the monster cookie attacking the city, but that's another story!

Oh, in the gift shop right outside the theater, you can buy souvenir duckys and also freshly baked monster cookies.
