I don't know if this is apocryphal or if it actually exists, but some have spoken of a music book containing a simplified, "student version" of
Paganini's 24th Caprice. People seem to have heard of it, but no one seems to have actually seen it. Does such a book exist?
And yes, '"Simplified" Paganini' is an oxymoron.
hmmmm... if you find it, you will have to post here, cause I'd love something like that...
just play the first variation - pipsqueak!

If you can't play the real thing, don't play it at all Rick.
I played a VERY easy version about 6/7 years back, it was in an ABRSM grade 3 book - just the theme and 1 arpeggiated variation. I don't know if it's still available though, I doubt it.
Hi all. Jamie pointed me in the right direction. My own attempts to find this book came up dry, but Jamie knew where to find it. The book at sheetmusicplus.com, "Easy Paganini," IS the book I sought. THANK YOU JAMIE!
