"student version" of Paganini's 24th Caprice?

February 26, 2006 at 09:47 PM · I don't know if this is apocryphal or if it actually exists, but some have spoken of a music book containing a simplified, "student version" of

Paganini's 24th Caprice. People seem to have heard of it, but no one seems to have actually seen it. Does such a book exist?

And yes, '"Simplified" Paganini' is an oxymoron.

March 2, 2006 at 09:20 AM · If you can't play the real thing, don't play it at all Rick.

March 2, 2006 at 01:19 PM · I played a VERY easy version about 6/7 years back, it was in an ABRSM grade 3 book - just the theme and 1 arpeggiated variation. I don't know if it's still available though, I doubt it.

March 4, 2006 at 03:01 PM · Hi all. Jamie pointed me in the right direction. My own attempts to find this book came up dry, but Jamie knew where to find it. The book at sheetmusicplus.com, "Easy Paganini," IS the book I sought. THANK YOU JAMIE!
