My name is Jonathan Frohnen and I am a consultant in the area of 19th Century Violin Music for the record label Naxos. I am also a violinist myself. For many years I have researched and collected rare works of 19th century virtuosi with a special emphasis on the works of Charles de Beriot and Henri Vieuxtemps. It is my job with Naxos to select repertoire and provide great programs of music to be recorded. I love working with great talent and truly love the work I do. In short I hope that I will be able to restore and protect the names of the great violinist composers of the 19th century, names now forgotten (almost or completely). I also have a huge library of violin music that I am usually happy to share from as time permits.
