so my teacher here at SU, Olivia Hajioff, a student of daniel heifetz, is rebuilding my technique as we speak. i'm presently doing lots of scratching, slow bowing, slow practice, unlearning all my bad habits... it's a tough process, but i see the upperclassmen here and how incredible their playing is, and i always end up sticking with it, staying in the practice room a few extra hours.... i have a feeling this is going to be a great experience... well, except for solfege in music theory, but that's a whole other story...
