Oh, but to introduce myself! Yes, well, my name is Jessica Nelson. I am an American studying mathematics in Budapest. I'm about 23 years old and bought my first violin for my 23rd birthday. I guess that makes me an adult beginner student. I have a good teacher named Kálmán Mata (that is, Mata Kálmán to you Hungarians out there), who I think is very strict, but at this point I do need to be whipped into shape. He doesn't speak much English, but we do a sort of language exchange during our lessons.

I am adding violin playing to my repetoire of talents because I want to be a more active lover of music. Other things I have studied include dance, visual arts, and modelling. As I have previously mentioned, I am in Budapest studying mathematics...the one thing in the world that doesn't come at all naturally.

I love the violin very much and have been known to curl up in the fetal position while cradling my violin on particularly bad days. With regards to mathematics and violin I am a very highung person (no pun intended, really!), but otherwise I am very easygoing.

Nice to meet you!
