The conductor of my community symphony orchestra, NIHCO, sent us this email after a recent rehearsal. He said so much so beautifully with so few words, that I just have to share it (with his permission).“… great rehearsal on Wednesday. I spent a few minutes trying to step back and appreciate what was happening all around me. One thing I've never outgrown is a sense of awe at what happens in an orchestra when so many unique voices come together for one musical purpose and join together to produce something much greater than the sum of its parts. Given the daily headlines, it makes me wish a lot more people were able to experience that.”
