Today we in Charleston, South Carolina are experiencing what is the first tropical depression/storm of the 2007 hurricane season.Later today I'm going to a jazz concert with a friend that features musicians from Charleston and New Orleans. This concert was organized by a group called Fotos For Humanity/Organic Processes, which has been working to create venues and opportunities for jazz musicians and other artists affected by Hurricane Katrina.
This concert is today, during the first tropical storm of 2007.
I'm walking around, grateful for the umbrella that I was given by a stranger (yes, what a humble spirit needs, the universe provides), and laughing.
I guess that's what looking back and looking forward are all about, no?
Sam
