How about Writing about Music?

September 18, 2006 at 10:15 PM

Well, now that my psyche is clear...

I have, for the past few months, written more about the hurricane than I have about music and musicmaking. With that, I will - tomorrow - write about the performance at the New Haven International Festival of Arts and Ideas.

And is it always so obvious what is relevant to music? Isn't everything, really? At least, don't musicians find worlds in music alone? So doesn't perhaps everything in the world find its place also in our music? Write on!

Just as there are typos, there are "reados"-- various slips and such. I read your title at first as "How about Writing Music?" Do you?
