My viola "Lili Boulanger" (16 inches, 40,8 cms.), now in the Gewandhaus Leipzig Orchestra, Germnay, with Immo Schaar, it made its debut in Wiener Musikverein with the Beethoven complete symphony cycle when it was less than a month old.

Thanks Emily! I have to find another members of the Boulanger family to name my violas... Lili's sister is now with the viola principal of the Deutsche Kammerphilarmonie Bremen, her former viola was a 1790 Cremonese Giovanni Batista Ceruti...Posted on November 5, 2011 at 11:07 PM
